Who Do You Say That I Am? The Four Great Expectations of the Messiah by Fr. Robert Barron

From the CD sleeve: A sought-after speaker on the spiritual life, Fr. Robert Barron here illuminates and explains the conviction of the Catholic Faith that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah and the revelation of God become man. He shows how Jesus fulfills the four tasks of the Messiah according to the Old and New Testaments, and how the living legacy of Christ, God and Messiah, is proclaimed by the Church.

This is another fantastic talk by Fr. Robert Barron of Word on Fire and Catholicism Study fame. I was privileged to hear this talk live at our October annual conference.

In this talk Fr. Barron draws from the first episode of the Catholicism Study "Amazed and Afraid." He takes us back through the Old Testament and Jewish thinking to show what kind of Messiah the Jews would have been expecting and how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies in very unexpected ways.

Fr. Barron is a dynamic and interesting speaker. When you get to the end of this CD, you will be very interested in his other work. You can download his free weekly homilies at www.wordonfire.org
